π Announcing Salesforce Simplified v2.2.8
We’re excited to announce Salesforce Simplified v2.2.8 — a major release focused on advanced org forensics, smarter architecture insights, faster navigation, and a powerful new AI configuration hub.
This release introduces an interactive Org Diff schema catalogue, 50-record pagination, full-history incident forensics, 3-tier Sync Job archiving, object-scoped Order of Execution analysis, and a streamlined developer experience across the workspace.
π️ All Apps — Interactive Tools Directory
With more than 20 specialized tools, finding the right capability is now significantly easier.
The new All Apps launcher is available from the System Apps footer menu and Quick Tools.
It provides a visual, searchable directory of every Salesforce Simplified tool, organized into key areas:
- π Forensics
- π Deployments
- 𧬠Schema
- π» Code
- ⚙️ Administration
Every tool is available with one-click launch, making it easier to move between different parts of your org investigation or development workflow.
⚡ Contextual Quick Tools
The Quick Tools bar is now smarter.
Instead of showing the same tools everywhere, Salesforce Simplified dynamically recommends companion applications based on the screen you’re currently using.
Forensics
When viewing audit-related pages, Quick Tools surfaces:
- Incident Detective
- Deep Audit Trails
- Activity Heatmap
- Event Graph
Schema
When working with schema-related screens:
- Order of Execution
- Field Usage
Code
When working with Apex and code-related screens:
- Apex Coverage
- Log Analysis
This makes related tooling available exactly when you need it — without leaving your current workflow.
⚖️ Org Diff — Interactive Schema Sidebar & Pagination
Org Diff gets a major usability upgrade.
A new interactive right-side schema catalogue lets you browse and compare:
- Standard Objects
- Custom Objects
- Custom Metadata
- Metadata Types
Select an item to launch a comparison instantly.
New navigation improvements
- 50 records per page
- Page controls at both the top and bottom
- Most recently modified first chronological sorting
- Instant in-place search filtering
- Faster navigation across large metadata collections
The result is a much cleaner way to explore and compare changes across your Salesforce Org.
π΅️ Incident Detective — Record Genesis & Forensics Hub
Incident Detective becomes significantly more powerful with the introduction of Record Genesis Journey.
You can now trace a record — such as Order #1111 or Case #00012 — back through its origin and mutation history.
The journey can connect the record to:
- Parent Accounts
- Deals and related records
- Creation events
- Mutation milestones
- Related activity and logs
New forensic capabilities
Slide-Over JSON Payload Drawer
Inspect underlying record payloads instantly without leaving the investigation view.
Multi-Log Error Correlation
Correlate errors across multiple logs to help identify relationships between failures and changes.
Suspicious Root Cause Detection
Automatically flag potentially high-risk changes and surface them as ⚠️ Suspicious Root Cause candidates for further investigation.
π Org Sync — 3-Tier Job Archiving & UI Overhaul
Org Sync now introduces a structured 3-tier job lifecycle designed to keep large job histories manageable without losing recent execution visibility.
Job lifecycle
1–100 → Active
The latest 100 jobs remain readily accessible.
101–150 → Archived
Older jobs are automatically moved into a dedicated Archived view.
150+ → Pruned
Jobs beyond the archive limit are automatically removed.
The Sync pipeline UI has also been redesigned with:
- Clearer source badges such as THIS ORG
- Improved directional routing
- Better pipeline visualization
- Amber test validation warnings
π― Scoped Order of Execution
Order of Execution analysis is now more precise.
Process Builder and legacy automation stages are filtered to show only automations that actually target the currently selected object.
This eliminates unrelated cross-object automation noise and makes it easier to understand what can actually affect a record.
The control header and </> Debug Query Inspector have also been redesigned into a cleaner, balanced single-row layout.
π Recent Trails — Flexible Pagination
Recent Trails (SetupAuditTrail) now provides more control over how much history you want to retrieve.
New query presets include:
- 300 records
- 1,000 records
- All — using
QueryAll
Additional in-memory navigation controls include:
+ Show more (+100)Show all- Configurable page sizes
This makes it much easier to investigate both recent changes and long-running administrative activity without repeatedly rebuilding queries.
